Quibble with Perle edit

Why does Perle think a (2-note) tritone is not valid as an interval cycle, but a (3-tone) augmented chord is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 35.11.210.175 (talkcontribs)

Perle maybe a moron. Gingermint (talk) 20:59, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
You may want to look in the mirror next time before you make an accusation like that. You didn't even bother reading the article. Hyacinth (talk) 23:35, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Notice that the article doesn't say anything like that. What the article says is, "A minimum of three pitches are needed to represent an interval cycle." The tritone is listed on the page as an interval cycle at least twice. If one has a tritone on C, for example, one needs C-F-C'. If one has just C-F then one has just one interval, and not the beginning of or a complete "cycle". Hyacinth (talk) 23:41, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
