"During August 1916, Bulgarian and German forces invaded the Greek territory of eastern Macedonia, ostensibly in order to confront the Allied troops who had established themselves in and around the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki." - If this took place "ostensibly", what could the true intention have been? Or maybe the question becomes clearer with another example of the same kind: "During August 1914, French and British forces invaded the Belgian territory of western Flanders, ostensibly in order to confront the German troops who had established themselves in and around the east Belgian city of Liège." 80.149.45.137 (talk) 13:36, 19 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
