While the Order was founded within the Hapsburg Empire, the sources included in the article do not point to a close association beyond the shared Catholicism. According to the Franz Anton von Sporck article, Sporck's interest in Freemasonry led to suspicions within the Habsburg ecclesiastical authorities. Sporck was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing. The 2011 Houston Chronicle article mentions Andreas Salvator von Habsburg, who apparently officiated the promotion of various new leaders (on behalf of King Juan Carlos, who is a Bourbon but also, I believe, also a Habsburg relative). According to the organization's website, the current leader of the Order is István von Habsburg, son of Felix von Habsburg. I don't know quite what conclusions to draw from all that, but is this European royalty element perhaps worth mentioning? Vesuvius Dogg (talk) 02:14, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

I think it's appropriate to include details of the current leadership, but extending that to an association with the Hapsburg legacy would require a reliable source indicating such an association. Bede735 (talk) 02:23, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

Scalia

The paragraph about Scalia sticks out like a sore thumb - it's a large chunk of the article and therefore wp:UNDUE. I think it belongs in the article on Scalia, not here, with a link back to this article. Also, it seems pretty speculative, even if it is speculation by third parties. In the long run, you are probably right. but in the short run, its the reason why 99.9% of the readers are probably at this article, and the majority of coverage of the group in mainstream media is due to this incident too. I also think that the mention of Scalia here sticks out; is out of place. From WP:UNDUE: "For example, discussion of isolated events, criticisms, or news reports about a subject may be verifiable and impartial, but still disproportionate to their overall significance to the article topic. This is a concern especially in relation to recent events that may be in the news." In the 350 year history of this order, that Scalia died at a ranch owned by a member is a minor media-driven event, not a lasting encyclopedic element for the article. & @Vesuvius Dogg: --Pechmerle (talk) 11:52, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

I take your point, and myself tend toward inclusion mainly to stave off misinformation creeping in about Scalia and his relationship to the Order.
