GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose):   b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
There are numerous problems with the prose, including punctuation issues. I started to the the copy editing when I thought there were only a few things, but when there were more and more, I stopped. My role here is to review and not to copy edit. I suggest a third-party do a full copy edit of this article. Examples of problems include:
    • "...on July 29 1913 during..." - commas are needed after 29 and 1913. Correct all such dates.
    • "...fifty-fourth meeting..." - 54th MOS:NUM compliance.
    • "...the great powers decided..." - Capital G and P for consistency.
    • "Their first intention was Sweden..." - Consider rephrasing to "Their first choice was" or better phrasing.
    • "Wilhelm of Wied was selected for the first prince..." - as the first, not "for".
    • "...about 5.000 gendarmes..." - Should be a comma i.e. 5,000, not a full stop (Euro style).
These are just some examples, I will not list them all here. Do have a full copy edit done. Thanks.
Thanks for doing all the fixes. – SMasters (talk) 12:38, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
    • "Wilhelm of Wied was selected for the first prince of the Principality of Albania." - This needs a citation.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
Article covers major aspects and is focused.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
    Article complies to WP:NPOV.
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
    Article is stable.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
    • "...Major De Waal (briefly visible)..." - Rephrase "briefly visible", this phrase would only apply if it was a movie clip.
  7. Overall: There are numerous issues with the prose that must be fixed before it meets the standards for a GA. I suggest a third-party have a good look at this. If you can't find anyone, you can try WP:GOCE/REQ. I will allow up to 7 days for the fixes to be made. Do drop me a note when it is has been completed, thanks. – SMasters (talk) 04:50, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Now that the issues have been fixed, I'm confident that the article meets all the requirements for a GA, and I'm happy to pass it. Good work. – SMasters (talk) 12:38, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
