The cops of the cops edit

In the American film series Lethal Weapon, Internal Affairs is nicknamed InFernal Affairs and considered "the cops of the cops".

Are they called "the cops of the cops" in real life? I ask this question because in France, e.g. in newspapers, they are often called police des polices (the police of the polices: I think the plural for the second occurrence of "police" refers to the various branches of the French national police, i.e. it doesn't mean the IGS or IGPN is in charge of Gendarmerie or other agencies). Page Move? edit

Why is this page at "Internal affairs (law enforcement)" when "Internal affairs" just redirects to it? Couldn't this just be the main Internal affairs page? Is there some other article that could go here? 138.69.160.1 19:55, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Improve Lead Section edit

The lead section is confusing in some places and really needs to be cleaned up of errors. Kendyl95 (talk) 17:09, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Improvements edit

I feel that there needs to be more information added to the article. The only thing that this article has is a lead section. I think that adding more information from the articles my partner and I have collected will improve the article's value. Reynapedro (talk) 17:12, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

What this article needs edit

This article's lead section needs a lot of work. It needs to be cleaned up and new sections need to be added on. The information needs to be more concise and informative. New sections of information need to be added and it needs to be discussed what the article is going to cover. By that I mean, should it cover only police internal affairs concerning the USA or internal affairs in every branch everywhere? Me and my partner plan on only adding information concerning the former. Adding a picture or two would also aid the appearance of the article. Kendyl95 (talk) 20:37, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

USA or international? edit

Apart from the Emblem of the Internal Affairs Unit, National Police Corps (Spain) illustration the only specific examples relate to the USA. If the article is intended to relate to such departments wherever they are those in other countries should be mentioned. Currently they're only mentioned in See also. If not the title should indicate it only relates to the USA. Mcljlm (talk) 13:21, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
