I completed a copyedit of this article. I made minor grammatical changes, as well as cross-referenced. I was able to verify references 3 and 4. In eukaryotic transcription, they are also called the general transcription factors, or σ factors[dubious ]. [1]

Removed, not in the source provided. General transcription factors are involved in transcription, not translation, and sigma factors are prokaryotic, ot euaryotic. 12:39, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
