Disambiguation

edit

I don't believe that we need a disambiguation page for ingredient, as (apart from The Main Ingredient) there is only one general sense covered here. I shifted the links to secret ingredient and active ingredient into a paragraph explaining their use, and put a link to The Main Ingredient at the bottom. I doubt, however, that many people who are looking for info on TMI will just type "ingredient".

The FDA labeling link in the References needs to be updated to http://www.fda.gov/Food/GuidanceRegulation/GuidanceDocumentsRegulatoryInformation/LabelingNutrition/ucm2006828.htm Penelope Gordon (talk) 06:09, 17 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hardly anything on this article. Seems like a dictionary meaning. Top priority to fix this up.-- Warfreak 09:42, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Clearly define Ingredients as separate from contaminants

edit

An ingredient to be defined as a purposeful inclusion. The word definition to be clarified to be exclusive of possible contaminants. "Thus all ingredients are constituents, but not all constituents are ingredients" is too much off a blanket statement, not fully clarifying the important subject of contamination — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevin Kevo Johnson (talkcontribs) 13:48, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
