Removal of INA-Japan relation

edit

Even before the official Indian government established any contact with Japan, Subhas Chandra Bose's INA had strong relations with them. Bose's INA and Imperial Japanese Army fought together against Britain in South East India and achieved moderate success before they had to withdraw. There is a conscious attempt to remove this mention from the article. I have restored it multiple times. Please discuss it here, before going to revert the changes again. -- XrieJetInfo (talk) 15:38, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

this article is about official relations and Bose's rebel group certainly was not official and was never based in India. It was not militarily successful-- it was armed and controlled by Japan. Most of the soldiers were captured Indian POW's who joined to escape the horrible Japanese POW camps, plus Indians living in countries controlled by Japan. Update

edit

One or two sentences are needed as an update, including a few words which cite this?

  • "Noda seeks closer ties with India amid isles row with China," Asahi Shimbun. November 4, 2012; excerpt, "... closer security alliance between Japan and India as part of efforts to counter China’s sovereignty claims to the Senkaku Islands, which would include additional naval exercises between the two countries."

Any new sentences would need to encompass a wider context. --Ansei (talk) 20:53, 30 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
