Untitled edit

This topic is covered both by a single page index, Index of MS-DOS games, and by individual pages by letter, starting with Index of MS-DOS games (A). I cannot see the place for a 2 page listing of the same topic. GILO   A&E 03:54, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion edit

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... I edited it. Enter to Index of MS-DOS games and see that there are links for this pages (A-M/M-Z). It isn´t duplicated. --Alancito10t (talk) 04:00, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal edit

The result was merging all information from Index of MS-DOS games (N–Z) into the corresponding single-letter index articles, then making Index of MS-DOS games (N–Z) a redirect towards Index of MS-DOS games. Steel1943 (talk) 02:08, 20 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I recently did an edit on Index of MS-DOS games (N-Z) for all of the games in the Ultima gaming series. However, after I had finished my edits on that page, I found out that there is a completely separate article that needs the same information updated: Index of MS-DOS games (U).

Why is this an issue? Well, it is because neither page is transcluded into the other, meaning that the information has to be manually updated in BOTH articles when new information is found or changed, causing a possiblity of there being DIFFERENT information on the "group of letter titles" article and the "individual letter" article. I noticed that this is the case with every single article in reference to Index of MS-DOS games (A–M) AND Index of MS-DOS games (N-Z). I propose this merger in order to ensure that the information on the group of alphabetical letters article (ex. Index of MS-DOS games (N–Z) does not contain different information than its corresponding individual alphabetical letter article (ex. Index of MS-DOS games (N)).

Or, as an alternate proposal, I propose that all information from the individually alphabetized articles be temporarily merged together into one place and then redistributed to each individually lettered article, and then the article Index of MS-DOS games (N–Z) to become a redirect to Index of MS-DOS games.
