Index of central obesity is a novel concept found to be very much useful in diagnosis of central obesity and metabolic syndrome. This parameter is an innovative contribution in the field of medicine and should not be seen as being biassed by the person who posted it. The users might well google it and would find numerous researchers who have tested this parameter in various studies. This parameter has recived so much attention that a renowned journal Expert Reviews - Cardiovascualr Medicine has done a special key note analysis to review this parameter. A student from University of Georgia was given Validation of this parameter as her thesis topic. I being new to Wikipedia am not very much familiar with the way various references and links can be added to this page. I am posting a few useful links here and would request other users to help me post those links as references. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17156939 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19558273 http://digitalarchive.gsu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1041&context=iph_theses http://www.japi.org/march2008/Corr2.htm http://www.expert-reviews.com/doi/abs/10.1586/erc.10.38?journalCode=erc http://www.nature.com/oby/journal/v16/n4/full/oby2007109a.html http://www.springerlink.com/content/f564438677110q36/

A number of more references are available and can be added. It wouldnt be justified to delete this important information just because its posted by someone who innovated it.

True, but the innovator should not be editing the page about it. ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 21:11, 6 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
