Merge proposal edit

As someone above noted in 2007, this compound appears to be the same as Indanthrone blue. So, I have two questions:

  • Can we go ahead and merge these?
  • What should be the name on the page? A Google search gives Indanthrone blue as more common than Indanthrene blue RS and Vat Blue 4, However, according to our file supplied by CAS, Vat Blue 4 is the ENCS name, and C.I. Vat Blue 4 is a PICCS name; both of these names appear high in Google searches on the CAS No. Then again, Google finds more hits for "Pigment Blue 60" which is the other ENCS name. I know little about dye names - so which one should we choose? Walkerma (talk) 03:47, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

yes merge them it is the same as Indanthrone blue, you should head the page as Indanthrone blue and underneath vat blue 4 should be in bold as it's other name, p.s go to 'lookchem' for the chemical's info Jasonwithey (talk) 09:13, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
