editThe impact of soul music, globally, should be addressed in the Soul music article, in the first instance, rather than in a new article. This new article is simply a WP:COATRACK for material previously in the Blue-eyed soul and Brown-eyed soul articles. The material in those articles does not deal with the "impact of soul music" in any real sense - it deals with the related genres of music performed by non-black musicians. I have asked for the mergers of those articles into this article to be reversed - the moves were never discussed, and never agreed. Article titles should be based on WP:COMMONNAME, and it is the case that soul (or pseudo-soul, or soul-like) music performed by white musicians has been and is commonly called "blue-eyed soul". At any rate, there needs to be informed discussion based on reliable sources before major changes such as contentious article moves are implemented. Ghmyrtle (talk) 12:15, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
