behavioral effects of immunocontraceptives edit

Online PZP apparently increases sexual interest, possibly an improvement over oral hormonal contraceptives. has this effect been shown at a variety of species — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.185.2.34 (talk) 20:11, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Rewrite in the works edit

This article is very incomplete. Its information doesn't give the reader a very good feel for the extent of current immunocontraceptive use or the breadth of research in immunocontraception. I wrote a paper on immunocontraception for my biology class last semester, and I'm currently working on a more comprehensive article for Wikipedia. I should have something I'd like to replace this stub with in a few weeks. Unless, of course, there is some objection? Joshua Born (talk) 16:42, 3 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I am still working on the rewrite of this article. Clearly it has taken longer than "a few weeks." My mistake was that the article I was originally writing went beyond the scope of an encyclopedia article. I was starting to write a comprehensive history of research in immunocontraception, which is more than what is necessary for an encyclopedia article and more than what my free time can handle. I've since scaled back and have stuck to citing review papers and select seminal papers rather than trying to include a reference to every single paper of original research. I plan to finish the rewrite next weekend. Joshua Born (talk) 17:17, 2 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
I just published my rewrite of this article! I hope one and all find it edifying reading. I know it was edifying writing it. The 68 references have exhausted my eyeballs. Joshua Born (talk) 23:18, 10 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re-sectioning and expanded front matter edit

It has come to my attention that the general reader can view this article as I wrote it and come away still asking what immunocontraception actually is. Currently the article is organized roughly chronologically. I am going to reorganize the article similar to an editorial on the subject (Naz 2011) to be sectioned by method of action: gamete function, gamete production, and gamete outcome. Then I'll include expanded front matter in each section and for the whole article that includes more basic biology and explains how each method of action is thought to work. Joshua Born (talk) 14:05, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have deployed the re-sectioning and expanded front matter. Joshua Born (talk) 00:59, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Formatting edit

There's a problem with the section headings, some of which use =Level 1= headings. Level 1 headings are not used in articles per WP:LAYOUT. WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:35, 25 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

My bad. I just fixed it. I think I must have introduced the level 1 headings accidentally when I reorganized the article. Joshua Born (talk) 19:43, 25 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
