Critique by Nietzsche edit

Nietzsche called it one of the finest examples of 19th century prose style, along with those of Emerson and, I think, Prosper Merimee, in case anyone finds that noteworthy. (5.102.254.234 (talk) 22:00, 4 March 2017 (UTC))Reply

Untrustworthy main source edit

The main source for the article is supposed to be a 1900 encyclcopedia which obviously does not check its facts. It represents Landor as saying he had passed his childhood in conducting such conversations in his head, whereas it is in fact Petrarca in the work titled The Pentameron (written by Landor) who relates that fact of himself. The body of the article is thus untrustworthy and a wholly different account needs to be sustituted. Sweetpool50 (talk) 16:19, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
