Who misconstures?

"Meanwhile, the boys misconstrue what circumcision entails, and try to save Kyle's younger brother Ike from his upcoming bris." The boys construe what circumcision entails very well: "choppin' up wee-wees". It is the show that misconstrues it, when Ike is circumcised, says "Ouch", and gets up as if nothing had happened. Mr. Mackey's head

I have a question: in this episode, it is stated that Mr. Mackey's head is so extraordinary large because his tie is very tight. However, in Proper Condom Use, he states that while he growed up, his head enlarged, while the rest of his body remained the same. Also, he removed his tie in that episode and his head remained the same. Should this be listed as a continuity error?--Orthologist 15:32, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I would take the approach that imdb.com does, which is to say that in an animated comedy series, where the emphasis is on laughs, changes in characters' relationships, personalities, backstories, etc. cannot be regarded as "goofs" and that "breaks" in continuity are even used intentionally to wring additional humor out of the stories. Censorship

I just watch the episode on canadian channel "The Comedy Network" and it's really uncensored. Mr. Mackey says "bullshit" without being beeped. I then watch the scene on the website, and strangely it's censored. But I think they take the ones of the DVD. --Pascalbg (talk) 02:02, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

On the first airing of the episode, at 10 PM ET, the word bullshit was uncensored – the first unexpurgated occurrence of the word shit on the series at the time. South Park Studios usually sends their episodes to Comedy Central with the appropriate bleeps already in place. However, this instance of the word was uncaught by the time the episode first aired. In the broadcasts that immediately followed this initial airing – such as the 10 PM PT viewing the same day –, the phrase was censored by way of muting the audio during the word. In later airings and releases, the word is censored with the usual audio bleep. In Canada, the original, uncensored version has been broadcast on occasion. In an article, Doug Herzog, who was president of Comedy Central at the time, had talked about watching a certain South Park episode on television that contained an uncensored occurrence of "the most common of sexual obscenities", because the network received the episode only that day and it was rushed to air. He mentioned having been worried about protests from viewers, but admitted that the network "didn't even get one call". It is possible that Herzog was discussing this particular incident in "Ike's Wee Wee".

Where's the cultural influence info, mkay?

The character Mr. Mackey has popularized the verbal cue "m'kay" in pop culture today. I know the word existed before, but it didn't become common in casual conversation until the year this episode was aired. Refferance to Mr. Bean?

At the sequence where Ike is kicked on to a train, they are playing a certain tune by plucking violins. It reminds me of Mr. Beans attempt to get in to a postbag in order to leave a train station. Ofcourse we know he ends up in Moscow. Is there a refferance to Mr. Bean? Bias?

Putting "cured" and "addiction" in quotation marks seems a little odd. If there's not a citation for this usage, it seems to indicate a pro-drug bias.   • Since there is only one direct review referenced in the "Reception and impact" section, and another favorable mention from the same author (and I can't find any more reviews), I don't know how to write a sentence that would paint a genuine picture about the episode's reception.     • I searched the episode on the online database Proquest, and I found a quote from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that can be added to the reception: you could say The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette praised the episode's ending, explaining "OK, putting him on a freight train to Nebraska might not have been the best idea, but all's well in the end, and Kyle and the boys learn a lesson about family values that even Dan Quayle would approve of." If you are interested, I will add it in with the sourcing since I couldn't find a link to it online. Episode number?

On SouthParkStudios.com this episode and Chickenlover are swapped (meaning this episode is number four and Chickenlover is number three). Does anyone know why this is and if it should be corrected? Or does the DVD set include the numbering used in this article? (NBMATT (talk) 18:04, 21 May 2012 (UTC))

The current iteration of SouthParkStudios.com has the original airdates wrong for these two episodes. According to the correct airdates, this is the third episode, and Chickenlover is the fourth. I have supplied plenty of evidence for the correct aidates. South Park episode articles follow the order of the original broadcast. (Nonetheless, the production number for this episode is 204, and Chickenlover is 203; but production codes often don't follow the broadcast order.)

Since production codes do not reflect episode sequence, I don't see why broadcast date should either. Episodes can be and are broadcast out of sequence. IMDB and the official South Park website itself list Chickenlover as episode 3 and Ike's Wee Wee as episode 4, and they should be taken as the definitive source rather somebody's personal predilection. If you think the information on those 2 websites is incorrect then you should seek to have them correct it, not insist on conflicting information being carried by Wikipedia (which is not designed to be an original source, or whatever the term is).
