It seems like this page should mention precedents for this theory, like institutional economics and in sociology (Bourdieu's "habitus"), etc.

editI am sorry, but have you actually read the articles to which Akerlof and Kranton refer? They are all using neoclassical microeconomic cum identity models; indeed, there is nothing macro-economic about them. -Arbraxan (talk) 13:23, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
