The party logo could be added to the template.

What are its political positions?

I really do not want to get into a "flame war" but I am going to stick my neck out and add a statement about the goals of this movement. I was struck by the fact that nowhere in this article is there the slightest statement of what the political goals are of this coalition. In the table of member parties all are designated as "Right-Wing" which leads me to deduce that they all probably want to disolve the EU. Why is this not stated in the intro? Changed name

The party seems to have changed name to the "Identity and Democracy Party", consistent with the name of its political group in the European Parliament, see its official web site. --Glentamara (talk) 11:06, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

Sources are wrong

Almost all of the sources listed save for a few are in reference to Identity and Democracy Group not Identity and Democracy Party, since the two entities are distinct organisations that are composed of differing members and differing structure this should be rectified. Sources referencing MENF should instead be used.Ec1801011 (talk) 15:38, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

Sources are not "wrong". The ID Party is not a "distinct organization" from the ID group, like the ALDE party was not "distinct" from the ALDE group. Unless we want to get stuck on nomenclature. Of course other smaller parties join the bigger political group in the EP, but this does not change the general political positions of the group or of the party. The sources for ID party, MENF and ID group refer to roughly the same assemblage of national parties, and can be used in both pages. --Ritchie92 (talk) 07:19, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

European Parties and Groups are two very different organisations, parties are organised around national parties rather than meps, posses the ability to campaign during European elections, parties are financed and regulated by the EU. On the other hand groups are informal groupings of individual meps usually affiliated with a European party. No matter how affiliated a party and group are together they are still distinct entities under different leadership with differeng goals, for example three of the major members of ID (AfD, DP and Finns Party) have zero relations to ID Party whilst five of ID Party's members (Vloya, New Right, KNP, Sme Rodina and For Britain) currently have no relation to the ID grouping as they posses no meps. Even if this was not the case the two entities no matter how similar are different and so how can we claim the sources used are "reliable" when they in fact refer to an affiliated entity rather than the entity at hand.Ec1801011 (talk) 18:32, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
