Incorrect Statement

edit

The article states "he has never even met another of his own race (Felis sapiens) (except for an old, blind dithering Cat priest in his earlier years, and an illusion of a cat female generated by the Polymorph)". I don't consider this a true statement. The series never explicitly stated WHEN all the other cats left, and it was explicitly stated, in any case, that the sick and the lame were left behind -- thus, Cat almost certainly had known some of them. Also, the Polymorph, which I take to mean the Pleasure Gelf, did not project an image of a female Cat, but an image of Cat himself. jaknouse (talk) 00:07, 16 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

The majority of the Cat race left Red Dwarf before the Cat was born, as the Cat priest in "Waiting for God" states that "then a child was born to the cripple and the idiot", but other than that, your argument holds water. Also, the Polymorph and the Pleasure Gelf are from two different episodes - "Polymorph" and "Camille" respectively. It's probably debatable, though, whether "Jenny" the genetic mutant (played by Frances Barber) was intended to be Felis sapiens or human. 86.152.13.199 (talk) 10:32, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, that should be "Genny" according to imdb.137.222.183.235 (talk) 15:57, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
