For what it's worth, I agree that this article should link to the main article on D Masillae, and not the sub-section on the type species. The main, essentially irrefutable reason for merging the articles in the first place was that Ida is the only known example of D Masillae. Similarly, Ida should link to the DM article as a whole, and not any sub-section, until such time as more examples are discovered.
I also note that the DM article clarifies early on that the only known example of the fossil was dubbed Ida. This avoids confusion that the redirect might cause and is probably more helpful in this respect than the text of the "type specimen" subsection in DM. GDallimore (Talk) 09:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
