I had to check first to make sure that this wasn't a hoax. It's a really interesting article, and it's very well written. There are a few things to be pointed out for a GA review:

  • "isolation material producer" - what is isolation material?
  • That should be "insulation material", I've fixed it and pipe linked "insulation" to Thermal insulation.
  • "the now 84-year-old Sivert Klevan" - "now" sounds awkward; it leaves me wondering if that it his current age or it fit was his age at the time of the interview; perhaps something like "...a new interview with expedition leader Sivert Klevan, who was 84."?
  • I've tried to rewrite it to make in unambiguous.
  • is "franc" the plural form of "franc"?
  • I've changed it to "francs".
  • "the driver could make several millions" - it would sound more encyclopedic to specify millions of what
  • Done
  • "there were eight countries involved in sponsoring the expedition" - would it be more accurate to say that "sponsors from eight countries financed the expedition"?
  • Done
  • "Here they were melted together" - not something that would hold back a GA, but "here" sounds awkward to me; "there" sounds better to me
  • "Here it was greeted by a great ceremony" - same as above
  • "Here it was lifted aboard the freighter" - same
  • Done all three
  • "valuable booty" - "booty" sounds pretty informal
  • I guess if you're into hip hop it can bring associations to a woman's hindquarters. Loot?
  • Although the lead mentions the 2009 release of a documentary, this information isn't found in the article.

Any English language text sources would be nice just to verify for English readers that this really did happen; perhaps http://www.hindu.com/2009/02/27/stories/2009022755191402.htm could be added to the external links?

  • Ok, I've rewritten the last section to include the 2009 marketing venture, and to integrate the English source you suggested. Hope that's to your satisfaction, but let me know if there are other things! Lampman (talk) 17:05, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Aside from that, everything seems alright. Images are all public domain; stability and neutrality aren't a problem. GaryColemanFan (talk) 22:39, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

All of my concerns have been addressed, and another look over the article doesn't turn up any problems. Thanks for the quick reply and for your hard work on this article. Like I said, I really enjoyed reading about such an interesting (but bizarre) topic. I have promoted the article to GA status. Congratulations! GaryColemanFan (talk) 23:16, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

That was fast. Congratulations with a new GA! Punkmorten (talk) 08:13, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
