editI would dispute the characterization of the Amorite rise to power as an "invasion." There is substantial archaeological evidence to show that Amorites had lived peacefully among the kingdom for a long time. I don't have time to edit this right now, but wanted to note it for anyone who is reading...There was no Amorite invasion as such, in the sense that it was deliberate and organized.
Also, this entire article seems to focus on the end of Ibbi-Sin's reign. It is not very comprehensive, so I think more should be added about Ibbi-Sin's life in general. Nisaba Gray 12:04, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Drought
edit"in fact, the same drought that helped to take down the Akkadian Empire c. 2193 BCE may have been responsible for the fall of Ur III." - a two hundred year long drought? How to explain the flourishing of Ur III in the midst of this centuries-long drought? Something has gone wrong here. Furius (talk) 01:17, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
