Bibliography edit

Two stories on their own is no good to anyone. The page should either list all of Ian's short stories, or none of them. It's about him, after all - not Warhammer 40K fiction. And he's written a lot of short fiction :-)Tanzeelat (talk) 14:57, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

These are needed. --Beyond silence 16:13, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Why are they needed? Let's not get into an edit war. The bibliography as it was originally gave details of novels, novellas and collections. If you want to add the Warhammer 40K stories, then we should add all of Ian's short fiction. Or create a separate page for the Deathwing anthology.Tanzeelat (talk) 16:19, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates and tables for short stories, poems and/or book reviews. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue. Vital data edit

We give YoB 1943 in the lead sentence and PoB St Albans, England, in the hidden footer template {{Persondata}}.

External link ISFDB gives North Shields, Northumberland, England, UK; 20 April 1943 [1]. SFE gives St Albans, Hertfordshire: 20 April 1943 [2].

SFE should be used more generally as a source. --P64 (talk) 22:15, 26 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Needs more sources edit

This article should cite more in the text. DemonDays64 (talk) 22:43, 1 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
