iamamiwhoami is Jonna Lee

The latest video, "t", confirms it. Why doesn't the article reflect this? Is lack of conformation from Jonna Lee's management still enough to keep calling iamamiwhoami's identity a mystery? Other members of the project may remain a mystery, but the vocalist and star of the videos is Jonna Lee.

It did, but some anonymous user removed any such references. I reverted the esit to fix it. --Kgaughan (talk) 21:26, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Writing Style of Article

The intro section needs to be cleaned up. Thanks for making this though. --68.38.86.230 (talk) 17:18, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Those who may be behind it

Personally, I don't think any of the people listed are behind it, but I'm open to options.

--Leigh 20:55, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

it is worth mentioning that reznor recently acknowledged the video series on his twitter page and denied any involvement.
Axillapt3 (talk) 02:53, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Still leaning toward Jonna Lee, but heard an interesting suggestion of Portishead. --Leigh 03:21, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Jonna Lee

I don't know if it's worth mentioning or not, but it appears that the men in the new video are the same as the men in live videos of Jonna Lee playing. Jkdeadite (talk) 15:56, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Yes, and if you compare Jonna Lee's physical features to iam, they are exactly the same, even down to the moles above her lip. I think the fact that her band are in the video gives it away! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.98.195.108 (talk) 18:59, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Think that someone else should figure that out first (WP:NOR) --Konsumkind (talk) 13:29, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

b

"If you put the animals in correct order you get something like this: "Goat, owl, whale, bee, llama, monkey" which also means: "Go tell all where I'll be 11am monday" which was ca the time when the clip "b" was released."

This simply isn't true, there's an infinite number of ways "Goat, owl, whale, bee, llama, monkey" could be interpreted and the video 'b' wasn't released at 11am, it was released at around half past the hour wherever you were. I was refreshing Youtube when it was released.

I think this translation is well proofed. --188.194.174.227 (talk) 21:57, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

B

86.152.222.48 (talk) pointed out to me that the b track is capitalised B when iTunes released it. It's not in error. I already messed it up once.

Official apps

There is no indication that I've been able to find that the iLike iamami app is "official". From the screenshots provided, all it does is allow you to play the already-on-youtube-for-free videos, and it costs $1.99. Unless there's solid confirmation from someone other than iLike that it's "official", this should probably be removed or modified.

it's too much of a coincidence it appeared on itunes the same day the music did. the cost to activate the application is about $195, i doubt an imposter would go that far. ilike also offers users to distribute their music to both itunes and amazon. i say it stays for now.Mrjinxed (talk) 04:00, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

iambounty.com

iambounty seems to have been registered by Jonna Lee [1]

- the webpage also is black with an image of a hand in some sort of position, then with the letter "B" next to it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.211.79.201 (talk) 22:59, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

That hand image is the ASL (American Sign Language) sign for the letter B. 76.180.189.170 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:00, 16 July 2010 (UTC).

The iambounty.com domain holds no official relation to the project, it's lack of updates and coding style are not related at all to the towhomitmayconcern.com domain which we already know it's official. Even on the registration details the street name is misspelled. The official towhomitmayconcern.cc [2] domain is registered under a proxy to keep the anonymity of the project, it really makes no sense that the iambounty.com domain would be registered directly under Jonna's name. Also her official website jonnalee.com is registered under her full name "Jonna Nilsson Lee" [3]

Only valid argument to consider the domain name official would be that the domain was registered almost 6 months before the first video was posted, and the address used is only a few blocks away from Jonna's offical domain registered address. One thing that comes to mind is that this could just be a neighbor who knew of the project beforehand and tried to snatch the domain to later resell it. Ultimately the fact is that the iambounty.com domain has never been linked or referenced through the videos and hasn't served any purpose to the project, so we shouldn't consider it as part of the whole campaign. afr.mx 02:22, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Semen?

Is it not fairly clear that the white substance that appears throughout the series is semen? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.33.208.47 (talk) 05:10, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

The culmination of 'Bounty' at the end of 'y' looks like a death/unconsciousness by autoerotic asphyxiation. This seems, to me anyway, good evidence that the milky substance is supposed to be sperm, at least in that video. --Digiacom (talk) 04:59, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Overuse of non-free images?

There seems to be an overuse on this article. Not to mention the quality is not diminshed at all from their original videos. Fixer23 (talk) 01:20, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

there is alot of information condensed in that paragraph though, so i say keep them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.18.7 (talk) 19:57, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

There are definitely too many non-free images. — Hex (❝?!❞) 03:51, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Too detailed

This article goes into way too much detail, slavish amounts, describing the videos. It reads like fan literature. To be encyclopedic it needs to be massively hacked down. — Hex (❝?!❞) 03:51, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Flickr photostream

I found this Facebook discussion about someone saying a Flickr photosream was posting photos (now deleted) with titles "i", "a", "m", "b". The profile was created in December, 2009. I found copies of these photos hosted at VisualizeUS (vi.sualize.us):

Is this worth adding? --danBLOO (talk) 00:55, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

I read or discovered somewhere, that the images were just fan-art/inspired by the project. They aren't actually official. 88.104.174.125 (talk) 21:11, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

; john

We need to update the article, with a little description of this video, the music style and we could also do with mentioning the six month break? I'll begin to work on a write-up tomorrow, feel free to start your own and add it, incase i don't bother. Also, i'm not sure how references/sources work, so if anybody can add them once the ';john' paragraph is done, then go for it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.104.163.5 (talk) 21:34, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Merge from bounty (album)

I've taken the liberty to merge the bounty (album) article to the Discography section here, since the album has not been released and there is no indication that it will meet the notability guidelines for standalone albums. I'd recommend not expanding it beyond a redirect until the album is released in June 2013 and sources are available to establish notability. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 00:15, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

CONCERT IN BLUE info

I've added the available information for Concert In Blue in it's own page. As the concert was streamed to the island members in April, we have been able to add a variety of things (from credits, performance, etc). Further, iamamiwhoami have been adding information to their official release pages (e.g., tracklisting, release dates, play times, editions to be released, etc). Because this is different from a studio album, and because the concert has already been streamed and released, I would argue it's notability is already established and a redirect page is appropriate. Plus, new song! AlaskaDave25 (talk) 16:18, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
