Update and Missing Information edit

Information on the film's release seems to be out of date and needs to be updated, with information on the film's box-office added to the article. This article is also missing important information on the film's reception which needs to be added in its own section. All of these changes and additions need to occur in order for this article to meet Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 16:17, 28 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

OK, I have seen the movie and have these questions edit

In (apparently-simulated) contemporary newsreel, I saw MCMXL on the screen; I guess that's supposed to be the year, but that's 1940 and I think it should be MCML (1950).

A Christmas party scene has part of Santa Baby (Eartha Kitt version) playing, but wasn't that not released until 1954? The movie only goes up to announcement of Hank Williams' death, which happened 1 Jan. 1953.

Early in the movie, a car is being driven by Hank's mother. It has the windshield divider common to cars of the 1940s, but it seemed odd to me that the wipers were aligned like they are aligned on most American cars of today. If any cars were made back then with the wipers aligned like that, I'd like to hear about it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.102.56.94 (talk) 19:19, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
