Promotional or "standard" single?

edit

Does anyone have a proper source regarding this? Zandor (talk) 15:42, 25 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

It is the lead single from her upcoming album. Read the Development and release section. Regards, --Paparazzzi (talk) 21:35, 25 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Wow, I'm blind, haha. Some editors have changed it to promotional in the last couple of days so that's why I was asking. Thank you for answering. Zandor (talk) 21:56, 25 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

it is a promotional single. multiple sources has claimed the song as a promotional single for her 7th upcoming studio album. Nickie manash (talk) 03:32, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

You don't even know the difference between a standard single and a promo/buzz single. The promotional singles are mostly released a few weeks before the album and most of the times don't have music videos and are not sent to radio. --Paparazzzi (talk) 22:19, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

this is not the first single. watch her interview with andy cohen where she reveals she has many singles upcoming and she talks about an anthem about loving and accepting your body the way it is (I Love Me, of course), and that it's only supposed to tell more of her story but she isn't sure if this song will make it to the album or not. you should've known it the moment she says "many singles upcoming", so of course I Love Me can't be the lead. we can also say it's not the lead by looking at the promo energy. the song is already removed from a major playlist - today's top hits on spotify and never rose above #16 in the playlist. the song is now in playlists with accumulative <18M followers while leads of artists usually get added to MANY playlist, giving them an accumulative follower count of over 100M.
