Region Bias edit

Interestingly, the article doesn't mention anything about region bias. The coverage of content in Essex is very very poor. Tuning into Carlton is possible right up to Witham in Essex but content coverage up to this point is quite poor here too. I think Essex gets a poor deal when it comes to coverage from both companies. -Ross 82.46.169.124 20:38, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Licence Transfer edit

In 2006 ITV Plc did a subsidiary swap, which involved renaming Anglia Television Ltd as ITV Broadcasting Limited and vice versa.
However due to ofcom licensing regulation, the new Anglia Television Limited could not take up its renewed status as Channel 3 licence holder, which means that the East Anglia franchise, has now effectively been transferred to ITV Broadcasting Limited.

Ofcom no longer recognise Anglia Television as an ITV Franchise holder

I think this is an important thing which should be mentioned in the article -Anon

Depends what you mean. The company called "Anglia Television Ltd" is not an ITV franchise holder. The company which is an ITV franchise holder in its place, which is the original company known as Anglia for most of its history (there's no "no longer" about it), is called "Anglia Television" by Ofcom [1] even though they acknowledge that its legal name is "ITV Broadcasting". Really, it's a very petty distinction. The Wednesday Island (talk) 16:35, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

the ofcom information you refer to was created 2-4 years before the subsidary swap -anon

Proposed deletion of Mouthtrap edit

The article Mouthtrap has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references (Mouthtrap "Don McClean") found no WP:RS to support the article, fails WP:N and WP:V

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article states that Anglia started broadcasting from 4 transmitters. I do not think this is correct. Tacolneston was always the BBC transmitter and I believe Sudbury may have been too. The voice over for the Anglia introduction in the early days was "broadcasting on channels 6,7 and 11 from the Belmont, Mendlesham and Sandy Heath transmitters". Tacolneston came later. The wiki article on the Mendelsham transmitter mentions that it went out of use for Anglia in 1974 when 625 took over from 405 line transmissions. 90.209.222.39 (talk) 17:45, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
