Delhi

Hi there. I just wanted to say that this table is wrong - Delhi is a state, not a union territory. Can someone please correct this? Thanks. 69.224.223.141 20:09, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia articles on both Delhi and New Delhi refer to Delhi, in the text, as a "state'. It is a Union Territory (also), as there is only a Lieutenant Governor for Delhi (not a Governor for a federal State, usually). There had been ALSO some period when Delhi was ONLY a UT, but not a State in the normal sense.--68.193.2.168 (talk) 18:36, 30 July 2012 (UTC) Delhi had been a State from 1952 to 1956 and was brought under President's Rule in 1956. State Images

I wish to find images that can be used as emblems for each state that can replace the ones deleted; hopefully flags. I am open to any such suggestions. :)--Thecurran (talk) 04:52, 7 August 2008 (UTC) The two-letter code (abbreviation) for the State of Chhattisgarh (item number 5 in the Table) should have been 'CG', instead of 'CT'. Is this a typo error(may be due to the close proximity of both the alphabets 'G' and 'T' on the keyboard)? In another Wikipedia article, the abbreviation for Chhattisgarh is shown on a map as 'CH',(alphabets 'G' and 'H' too are just adjacent to each other on the keyboard); actually, 'CH' is the code for Chandigarh, a Union Territory. --68.193.2.168 (talk) 21:56, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
