IDGAF (Dua Lipa song)IDGAF – Unnecessary dab page with only two main entries and the entries could be distinguished by hatnotes on each page. JE98 (talk) 17:08, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

IDGAF (Dua Lipa song)IDGAF (song) – 2Pac's song is not called "IDGAF" - it's spelt out in full. Unreal7 (talk) 16:10, 1 December 2018 (UTC)--Relisted. –Ammarpad (talk) 19:34, 8 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Very interesting. That RfC was based on three examples, two of which were subsequently moved. But the third was not (and I now see that the RM in question was also proposed by yourself). If this RM is also rejected, that RfC does need to be revisited, as its conclusions may have been far too sweeping. Were there any changes to WP:AT as a result of this RfC on its talk page? • Oppose. No WP:PTOPIC. Creating one will (a) annoy and/or confuse readers who were looking for something else, and (b) guarantee that bad links to the PTOPIC will accumulate, degrading the encyclopaedia. Narky Blert (talk) 10:49, 11 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

– I know this has been discussed a lot in the past, but it doesn't really make sense for this to be specified when there are no other articles for other songs titled "IDGAF". The article for the 2Pac is titled "I Don't Give a Fuck" so this clearly doesn't violate. Also, I think this probably now qualifies for WP:PTOPIC as this song is the only single release with an article and it has charted far more and has far more notability than the 2Pac song. If this doesn't work out, I think it might be wise to move to IDGAF (song) otherwise. LOVI33 01:54, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Very strong oppose - as the dab page says IDGAF is an acronym for "I don't give a fuck". It may refer to:
  • "I Don't Give a Fuck", also known as "IDGAF", a song by 2Pac
  • "IDGAF" (Dua Lipa song), a song by English singer Dua Lipa on her eponymous 2017 album
  • "IDGAF" (featuring Pharrell & T.I.), a song on the 2013 Nelly album M.O.
  • "IDGAF", a song by CJ Fly on the 2016 album Flytrap
  • "IDGAF", a song by Ängie released in 2019
  • "I.D.G.A.F.", a song by American band Breathe Carolina from the 2009 album Hello Fascination
  • "I.D.G.A.F.", a song by American rapper Daz Dilly from the 2014 album Weed Money
  • #IDGAF, a 2013 mixtape by Ludacris
  • IDGAF, a 2013 music video featuring Snootie Wild
  • "IDGAF Suite", a song written by Kevin Eubanks and recorded by Billy Hart on the 1985 album Oshumare
  • "IDGAF", a song by Lil Peep on his last album Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2
There clearly is a primary topic, the acronym. And how does it help Dua Lipa fans removing her name? In ictu oculi (talk) 15:55, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
In ictu oculi thanks for putting this forward. I never really thought of the acronym being the primary topic. Perhaps a move to IDGAF (song) is more suitable. LOVI33 22:24, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Strong oppose – this song is definitely not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The title of this song is literally based on the acronym itself, which has far more long-term significance than a pop song that will be forgotten in two years. However, I do not oppose a move to IDGAF (song), as this is the only song titled "IDGAF" with an article on Wikipedia, but disambiguationists won't support this either. Hayman30 (talk) 09:31, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Strong oppose per IIO and Hayman30 - The acronym is more notable than the song. Would support moving to IDGAF (song) tho as per Hayman. –Davey2010Talk 11:04, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support I only agree to change from IDGAF (Dua Lipa song) to IDGAF (song) because it is the most notable song that exists with that acronym. - Alexismata7 (talk) 14:39, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
    • Well, that's not really support, because you're proposing something different. — BarrelProof (talk) 20:06, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

IDGAF (Dua Lipa song)IDGAF (song) – I think I pretty much got a consensus for this with my last move, but there really isn't a need to specify whose song this is when there isn't another song with an article and the same title of "IDGAF". The only close one is the 2Pac song, but that one spells out the acronym so I really cannot think of a reason why this shouldn't be titled IDGAF (song). LOVI33 15:01, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Support I totally agree. It's most notable article with the acronym. Alexismata7 (talk) 23:49, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Another Move Request edit

All of the page move requests above are now superseded by the fact that more songs titled simply "IDGAF" have been released since early 2021 and some have their own WP articles, as can be seen in the rapidly-expanding list at the IDGAF disambiguation page. Per a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests, this article is going back to IDGAF (Dua Lipa song). I don't think this will be too controversial, if everyone considers how the situation has changed in the past 2.5 years. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 00:53, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
