Program Size

Page Editing Topics

Please note any issues with this page before marking it for removal. I am actively working to improve the quality of this page, though it is currently on par with the wmii page, in my opinion. As for notability, if i3 isn't notable, then I don't really think any tiling window managers are, except for dwm. Again, please note the issues here so they can be properly addressed.

I did; you removed the maintenance tags without addressing the issues. I've restored them. Here's the explanations:

1. {{Refimprove}}: The article currently cites no independent reliable sources. The only sources cited are the program's website (not independent) and a wiki (not reliable).
2. {{Notability}}: The general notability guidelines say that no subject is notable if it has not gotten significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources. As noted above, there is no coverage by such sources.

Please also note that other stuff exists. The debate over this article will only be based on whether i3 meets the notability, verifiability, and other guidelines; it has nothing to do with how its article stacks up against other products'. —C.Fred (talk) 02:28, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Tiling Mode & Floating Mode

The section "Floating mode" begins "Switching between tiling mode and floating mode ... ." Many readers will not understand what is meant by these terms. Before explaining how to switch modes, please explain what the modes are. Perhaps the section heading can be a little more general. "Window Modes"?
