Origins
editIt would be useful if this article gave some information about the origins and etymology of the name rather than just a list of people with the name. There are websites that claim it as Scottish, "son of Ian", but that doesn't explain the apostrophe, and I am not sure how reliable these websites are so I will not add anything based on what they say.
