Yes ... in my option info needs to be added to main article
- option 1: Add a sentence about this now ...
- option 2: Make a paragraph about how the transfer to owner has come about
- option 3: Wait until this has happened.
Blue Funnel Cruises is an established operator around the solent and has different operations and likely is notable enough for their own article. Djm-leighpark (talk) 09:48, 17 April 2017 (UTC)
I've re-read the article and consider appropriate to add a sentence to the introduction. This is likely better than nothing until Blue Funnel take over or back out. If it doesn't happen quickly then it's own section is likely warranted. It's possible I'll prepare a stub Blue Funnel Cruises article. (May be in Draft first). Meantime the're linkable to a section in the Port of Southampton article so I'll tweak that.

Just observed Blue Funnel Cruises is a subsidery of Solent & Wightline cruises ... which is a bigger operation. Djm-leighpark (talk) 20:46, 17 April 2017 (UTC)
- Last time I went looking with regards to blue funnel I couldn't find enough sources to count them as notable.©Geni (talk) 16:32, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
I've done a rapid change to the Article (too rapid I should've omitted the limited) as the operating company is 'ferries not 'cruises. My understanding of the Heirachy is loosely something like ... (beta.companieshouse.gov.uk and look for main man).
- Solent and Wightline Cruises
- Blue Funnel
- Blue Funnel Cruises
- Blue Funnel Ferries
- Blue Funnel
BUT: This is my understanding and there may be rebranding in progress... An article encompassing whole group and history are likely possible, and probably desirable. The Hythe Ferry is an entity in it's own right, and the history of blue funnel(and predecessors)/Solent+Wightline of which saving the Hyhe ferry is a notable achievement but only part of the story. If blue funnel history goes into Hythe Ferry is goes off topic. (My opinion only).
- The slight problem is what to call an article
Hmm .. Blue Funnel Group .. yup that's it ... i'll try creating a draft article for AFc in an hour ... or two. .. Can be renamed / deleted / etc as necessary. Djm-leighpark (talk) 17:44, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
OK: I've created Draft:Blue Funnel Group. Its a work in progress. There is some great Company history on the WP:PRIMARY websites histories but it will need WP:SECONDARY also. IIt may well be a rename and/or redirections are appropriate. We will see later. Djm-leighpark (talk) 18:17, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
I've now beefed up the blue funnel group article a little ... still a little short on the citations. Feel free to comment or improve, at draft:Blue Funnel Group or discuss at [[talk:draft:Blue Funnel Group]] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djm-leighpark (talk • contribs) 22:21, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
Went WP:BOLD and published Blue Funnel Group as Blue Funnel Ferries are confirmed as new operator. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djm-leighpark (talk • contribs) 08:46, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
Hythe Scene
editThe MV Great Expections has emerged from Blue Funnels Refurbishment as the Hythe Scene in Blue funnel Branding. I've added a couple of citations to support the rename alredy updated in the article, and these references also contain information that may be useful article improvement (and also that of the Blue funnel Group). The reference fill is vessels have been briefly added to the article as the 'one operational vessel' may be misleading as other vessels have stood in during refurbishment. The re-introduction seems recent and improved references may arrive, but the youtube video confirms the vessel is now 'Blue Funnel' blue liveried! Djm-leighpark (talk) 18:09, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
