Some Things to Consider edit
I definitely read something on Wikipedia about "superhurricanes" that could theoretically form over superheated ocean water in the event of, for example, a volcanic eruption just under the surface or a meteor strike. I can't find the article now, but it would be the best bet for making "Super Hurricane" legitimate.
Other aspects of this article also seem ill-thought-out. For example, while a firestorm might devastate a small area, it would be nowhere near the scale of an eruption of Yellowstone Caldera or the outbreak of World War III. There needs to be some sort of scale applied.

Now that I look at the lead and the list there is a bit of a problem: many of the disasters have actually happened but not on a large scale or during the existence of H.Sapiens. E.g. pandemics have certainly happened but a global society spreads them faster and wider. Most of the natural disasters have also happened. So what to include...? Some overlapping content edit
Someone else has thought about this before: see End of civilization and Human extinction. Strictly speaking "human extinction" and "hypothetical disaster" are not the same thing at all, but in practice all three of these articles discuss much of the same things. Hazard vs. Disaster edit
In science the word 'hazard' is used to refer to what this article defines as a 'hypothetical disaster'. In other words, earthquakes, nuclear accident, or a stampedes are examples of hazards. However, the Loma Prieta earthquake, Chernobyl accident, and the Heysel Stadium disaster are examples of disasters. I would like to adopt this terminology in Wiki. I really do not like the current title of the article that does seem to collide with other doomsday articles. See also Category hazards
