Uncited date additions

edit

Hey @Prakashs27, I have reverted your recent edits and am moving discussion to the talk page. See below for rationale, and please reply here if you disagree; do not engage in edit warring.

The article currently says that the disestablished date is 1724/1740. This is attributed by the following sentence (with verifiable citation) in the body of the article:

Scholars typically date Hyderabad's independence to 1724 (the year of the Battle of Shakar Kheda) or 1740 (the year the Nizam permanently settled in the Deccan; prior, he would be called to North India intermittently by the Mughal emperor).[1]

The date that you are changing the disestablishment date to (31 July 1724) may or may not be correct, but requires a verifiable source in the article body to be supported. See Wikipedia:Verifiability for information on Wikipedia's citation policy. The fact that other Wikipedia articles have that date is not sufficient; Wikipedia cannot and should not cite itself. The same goes for the establishment date you provided of 22 September 1687 - you must provide a verifiable source to support this.

If you can find verifiable, scholarly sources that state specifically that the Mughal province of Hyderabad was established on 22 September 1687 and disestablished on 31 July 1724, then it makes sense to add to this article. We cannot rely on other Wikipedia articles as a basis, and we also cannot try to draw our own conclusions (see Wikipedia:No original research)
