…and a guitar can have more than one type of pickup. Wow, eureka. This article is even more useless than Acoustic-electric guitar. And incidentally, BOTH articles fail because "a guitar with a piezo pickup" sounds like, well, a guitar with a piezo pickup and NOT with the natural sound of an actual acoustic guitar.

The "hybrid" concept is not particularly new or unique. Washburn Guitars has taken a few whacks at it, including a Sammy Hagar signature model, and SwitchMusic.com (2004) had both the solid-body Ultima EQ and the Riviera, a small-bodied acoustic with both bridge piezo and top-mounted humbucker.
