Confusion on the definition ?
The definition on this page is not the most common one. Most people in the literature call Hurwitz matrix a matrix whose eigenvalues have strictly negative real part (called stable Hurwitz matrix in this article).

- Support Agreed, I was confused when I came to the article. I think the engineering Hurwitz matrix should be the main definition, with the other following, and both definitions should appear at the start of the article where the term is defined. Glyph27notfound (talk) 05:38, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
