Good information source

An excellent article from Jeff Masters and Bob Henson at Yale Climate Connections: Nightmare scenario: Category 5 Hurricane Otis devastates Acapulco. Drdpw (talk) 23:44, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

"Worst natural disaster"

@Modokai: I undid your edit because it fails WP:V and also uses the WP:PEACOCK word "worst". I'm inclined to believe this is true, but there needs to be a source. Additionally, the way you wrote it is not grammatically correct as it is missing a conjunction.Jasper Deng (talk) 01:18, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Mexicans assured that this could be the worst natural disaster that has ever occurred since hurricanes Paulina and Manuel in 1997 and 2013. МОДОКАУ 01:21, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
@Modokai: That's cool, but the WP:BURDEN is on you to supply an actual reliable source; that anecdote is your own original research.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:22, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Otis rapid intensification

According to Fox Weather, Otis intensified by 115 mph in 24 hours Addyisaginger (talk) 20:44, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

check NHC's advisories instead, fox isn't as reliable as NHC trooncel (talk) 08:49, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

Requested move 27 October 2023

Just like Hurricane Patricia, Hurricane Otis should have its own page on its meteorological history. If everybody agrees to do it, I volunteer to make the page. DementiaGaming (talk) 02:03, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

Yeah, Otis was indeed a historic storm and they usually have seperate Meteorological History's CarterStormTracking (talk) 02:06, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
Not enough content right now to justify another article. Wait for the TCR and post-storm studies on the met history which will provide more detail. Noah, AATalk 02:08, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
@DementiaGaming: Point of order: this would be a request to WP:SPLIT, not a Wikipedia:Requested move.--Jasper Deng (talk) 05:26, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
