History section proposals

edit

Hi Wikipedia! My name is Allie, I am new to this website. I am employed by Huron and would like to make some suggestions for this article (don't worry! I won't directly edit, I read that was against the rules).

I would like to propose the content at the bottom for the History section. In regards to placement, this article seems to be in chronological order so that would put it after the paragraph that starts with, "In May 2004,..." and before the paragraph that starts with, "In 2023, faculty at West Virginia University…"

Thanks Wikipedia! Message me with any questions Allie for Huron (talk) 17:11, 19 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Proposed content:

Former Chairman and CEO Gary Holdren left in 2009. James Roth was named CEO and George Massaro was named chairman. That year, James Rojas became CFO, replacing Gary Burge.[1]

Huron launched a college athletics business in 2020.[2] Huron’s college athletics team consults schools on finance, budgeting, conference realignment and fundraising.[2] Consultants on this team include former Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany, former Duke athletic director Kevin White and former Penn State athletic director Sandy Barbour.[2]

Roth retired in 2022 and became vice chairman on Huron’s board of directors.[3] Mark Hussey became CEO as of January 1, 2023.[3]

Partly done: I added the information about the consluting sports arm, but reworded. Everything else is just listing who took over for who through the years. Unless there is some encyclopedic significance behind it, I do not believe adding it would benefit readers. CNMall41 (talk) 04:24, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
CNMall41, Thank you very much for the review. I see what you mean about all of the names. What do you think about including the most notable?
For example:
James Roth was named CEO in 2009[1] and retired in 2022, becoming vice chairman on Huron’s board of directors.[2] Mark Hussey became CEO as of January 1, 2023.[2]

Mark Hussey is the current CEO but he is not listed in the text of the article (only the infobox)
Let me know if you have other thoughts, thank you Allie for Huron (talk) 14:39, 4 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

What is the significance of that statement outside of why the company would want to state such?--CNMall41 (talk) 03:50, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
