New Hurler

edit

I have created an article for the what Hurler at Kings Dominion will become next season when the ride is announced on August 16th, 2017. The article shall be moved to the name once it becomes available.MitchellLunger (talk) 18:11, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

MitchellLunger: Just to be clear, you're planning to rename this article to the new name, correct? That's how name changes are usually handled. --GoneIn60 (talk) 05:18, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
The article I intend to move is the one I created called New Hurler. I just mentioned that I created it so that people don't try and move this article to new name.MitchellLunger (talk) 10:19, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
MitchellLunger: Creating a brand new article is unnecessary. These articles are short enough as it is, and the current one can just be renamed, adding its new history to the existing article. This is how we've approached it in the past. Take a look at Twisted Colossus, Iron Rattler and Rougarou as recent examples. --GoneIn60 (talk) 11:15, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'm also confused as to why you weren't already aware of this process, based on your comments at Talk:Mean Streak#Moving Article. You're already planning on renaming that article. Why would this one be any different? --GoneIn60 (talk) 11:21, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
GoneIn60: Because this article also is used for a currently operating roller coaster Hurler at Carowinds. That's why you just can't move it because one of them closed and being renovated. It's similar situation to Roar and the The Joker (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom) coasters: They used to be clones represented on the same page, when they were both named Roar, until one was Rmcd while the other remained a wooden coaster and new page was created for the Joker coaster. And yes I'm aware of the process by which because I'm one of the people the United Express Flight 3411 incident to its current page.MitchellLunger (talk) 11:47, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Ah, yes. Good point. I forgot this article covered two roller coasters. --GoneIn60 (talk) 16:04, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
