Mammal parasitism claim edit
"The five types of predatory behaviour includes true predation, grazing, parasitism, parasitoidism and competitive predation, though mammals only employ three of them and do not exhibit parasitism and parasitoidism."
Vampire bats exist and are both mammals and parasites. Parasitic mammals are rare, so this statement is mostly true, but still misleading. 107.202.151.110 (talk) 18:15, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. That sentence should at least include a sub-clause stating something like ", with only one exception," to emphasize that parasitic mammals exist, even if it is only one single species. In afterthought, if the statement is supposed to be generalistic, the sentence ought to be rephrased entirely to include parasitism, since one parasitic mammal species exists and is fairly well known as well. - Upon further research, I find that 3 species of vampire bat exist, so a suggestion for a rephrasing could look something like this:
