It is VERY difficult to find NPOV citations and sources for this controversial issue. I have cited as much as possible. Please, help! Bearian 19:12, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article could certainly use help adding more history and the legal regime in other countries. Bearian 00:35, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

I found a few things. The first two are reliable, but only marginally useful to this article. The Palmer book, if it can be located, would be very useful. There's a good description of it in the Potter annotated bibliography. The Potter bibliography is online in pdf, so it might prove even more useful in finding more sources.

Certifiable? edit

...stipulates that only individuals of certifiable Native American ancestry...

Certifiable? Native Americans? Certifiable crazy? You can have eagle feathers, but only if you come from Crazy Indians?
