Roman rite? edit

Why is it mentioned that the bishops are Roman rite? This is certainly not true, the church is Roman Catholic, but is of Eastern rite, partially shared with the Orthodox churches.Koczy (talk) 22:01, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not orthodox edit

I have corrected the cathegorization: This is a Catholic church, it is only via its traditions that it can be linked to the Orthodoxy.Koczy (talk) 22:01, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Name change edit

This should be moved back to 'Roman Catholic Diocese of Hajdudorog'. I have edited the opening line to make clear that this is a diocese of the Byzantine Rite of the Roman Catholic church, rather then of the Latin Rite. Benkenobi18 (talk) 19:22, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's actually only half of the truth. The Diocese of Hajdúdorog is a Catholic diocese but has nothing to do with Roman Catholicism. The Byzantine Rite refers to the Greek Catholic Church, the Roman Catholic Church has only Latin Rite.
Historically this diocese was part of the Eparchy of Mukachevo. If we want to be consistent, then I think we should name the article either as Eparchy of Hajdúdorog, or as Greek Catholic Diocese of Hajdúdorog, or simply as Diocese of Hajdúdorog. But the current name of this article is misleading and incorrect - I think. Jojojoe (talk) 16:34, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
