Opening heading edit

the agricultural area stated was actually in fog dam, not humpty doo, fogg dam is situated about 20km east of humpty doo on the edge of the adelaide river floodplains.

Yes, but it was near the Humpty Doo Station which is where the name Humpty Doo was first used.Bduke 01:57, 1 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Is the new item that Mick Dundee was from Humpty Doo fact? I lived in Humpty Doo for many years over the appropriate period and I have never heard of it. Yes, the snake came from Graham Gow's Reptile World in Humpty Doo and the Buffalo was in a Zoo not too far away, but I never heard of any other link from the film to Humpty Doo.Bduke 10:37, 20 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I've removed it pending verification. Ambi 01:18, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Name origins edit

The article doesn't answer the question that's always uppermost in my mind when thinking of this place, which is of course: Where did the name come from??? Anyone? Lee M 14:25, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Triple J AWOL edit

Should there be an item about that? http://triplejawol.typepad.com/awol/humpty_doo.html Lazybeam 13:21, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

They are calling it Humpty Doo, but the concert is at Fred's Pass. It does not seem notable enough to me anyway. It is just a one-off concert. --Bduke 22:19, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Humpty Doo, Northern TerritoryHumpty Doo – There is no other article on "Humpty Doo", so it is unnecessary to disambiguate the title by adding "Northern Territory". sroc (talk) 22:55, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Support per nomination and suggest speedy rename. Mandatory disambiguation is no longer universal for Australian populated place articles. -- Mattinbgn (talk) 00:26, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
