This article is currently rather frustrating for someone like me (not a Muslim, but interested in this topic). For example, the phrase "being within the limits of Islamic tolerance, and not going beyond the bounds of truth" (which is repeated very similarly on many websites) is not very useful: what are the limits of Islamic tolerance? I'm also a bit uncomfortable with "the bounds of truth", since that rather implies an Islamic POV (ie "Islam is true") and Wikipedia is not in the business of declaring any particular religious belief true (or indeed false). Amen to that! Wikipedians are not afraid to be NPOV with respect to the other major religions, so why be afraid to be NPOV with respect to articles on Islam? Wikipedia should not sanctify Islam any more than it should sanctify Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism or any other religion. Ericster08 (talk) 22:35, 11 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Qur'an discourages mocking Islam. How can it? As Islam as a religion did not exist before the Qur'an was written. Rather let this say, The Qur'an discourages religious humour. Nuttyskin (talk) 00:38, 6 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
