Recent lawsuit with People of India edit

The recent lawsuit must be mentioned under a seperate sub-section - https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/humans-of-bombay-vs-humans-of-new-york-why-hony-founder-brandon-stanton-is-angry-with-hob-101695490062728.html As of today it has been gaining traction in several media outlets. Based on sources currently available, a separate subsection does not seem needed at this time, but I am trying to find more than tabloid-style sensationalism and churnalism about this. The Indian Express offers some reporting about the recent legal proceedings: Humans of Bombay claims copyright infringement, Delhi HC seeks online portal’s stand e.g.

The Delhi High Court on Monday issued notice in a plea moved by popular storytelling platform “Humans of Bombay” (HOB) against “People of India” (POI), an online portal, seeking to restrain it from appropriating the former’s “unique format of storytelling” [...] The HC perused through the comparative table and said, “perusal of the same would show that there is substantial imitation and in some cases photos are identical”.

I can work on adding reporting about the case. Beccaynr (talk) 13:08, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think we should keep WP:NOTNEWS in mind; e.g. Wikipedia considers the enduring notability of persons and events. [...] while including information on recent developments is sometimes appropriate, breaking news should not be emphasized or otherwise treated differently from other information. We may need to wait for additional coverage to help create encyclopedic content. At this time, a summons has been issued by the Delhi High Court (Bar & Bench, Sept. 20, 2023) in Humans of Bombay Stories Pvt Ltd v. POI Social Media Pvt Ltd, but the case does not appear to have moved beyond this initial stage. Beccaynr (talk) 14:00, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
