Discussion of merge elsewhere

An unsigned post at Human Terrain System suggests a full merger of this article there. I am opposed to a full merge/deletion because HTS comprises more than just HTT. It is also the database MAP-HT, intelligence analyis of MAP-HT, and any possible structures not overt within HTS. HTT is not synonymous with HTS--rather, HTT is a subtopic, and HTS the parent topic. I could see keeping them separate, but right now there is a lot of redundant information on Human Terrain Team and Human terrain system ... if you want to keep them separate, differences between the two will need to be elaborated. Harvey the rabbit (talk) 20:25, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

"Any possible structures not overt"? That is entirely possible, and very astute thinking. In fact, that is entirely possible for every single other wikipedia entry, because for any topic there just might be things that are hidden from our view. • This was the only discussion created regarding possible merger. The HTS page did not have anything. As HTS has had some personnel changes lately, it has come up on my watchlist. Text deletion

The following was deleted from the text since I last edited:

Paula Loyd

The last sentence of the "Controversy" section, and the death of Paula Loyd mentioned in the "Notable academic embeds" section, relate to the same incident. This is decribed here. I believe that there is enough information on Loyd, especially in the recent Washington Post article, to start an article on her if someone wants to do it. If no one else does it, I'll try to start one in a few days. Cla68 (talk) 22:51, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Dispute

The article has a tag up top that it is disputed on the talk page, but I don't see any dispute on this page as of right now.
