I have reverted this series of edits which removed the section on "Forced labour" and replaced it with a section on "Treatment of work force" in which Gloria Selborne has relied solely on Adam McQueen's The King of Sunlight: How William Lever Cleaned Up the World (ISBN 9780552163910) to argue that Lever actually treated his workforce better than other colonial period industrialists. This conclusion is not inline with other sources. Based on his works, McQueen seems to be a "pop historian", writing works for popular consumption rather than serious historical research. I would argue that his may not be the most reliable source. There is an argument to be made for incorporating some of this material, but not at the cost of the more reliably sourced material. I invite Gloria Selborne and other editors to discuss the matter. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:35, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
