Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information [1]. Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. --Palffy 21:07, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

It appears that parts of this article are almost lifted verbatim from 123football.com [4]. Not being familiar with Wikipedia's policies on suspected plagiarism as opposed to proven plagiarism, I'll leave this info here so that someone more knowledgeable on this subject can react. -- 82.73.103.141 21:54, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Or 123football.com has a habit of lifting their info from Wikipedia since I've noticed another instance of similar verbatim copying with Mexican footballer Oswaldo Sánchez.

It doesn't seem right that the footballing career of such a significant player is not covered as much as his (far less illustrious) time in management. Obviously, Sánchez first entered football management a long time ago but couldn't this all be construed as a bias towards recent events? It would be nice if somebody with a broader knowledge of 1980s football than myself could add some more colour to the article, particularly about Sánchez's time at Real Madrid.
