Livery edit

I'm trying to expand the Hughes Airwest Flight 706 article and I wanted to include some information about how the livery was changed from Eurowhite to banana yellow after the accident, but I can't seem to find any citations about it. I did find mention in this article, and the Eurowhite article, but with no link. I did a Google news archive search and couldn't find any either. I have tagged it citation needed, but any help would be appreciated. --Mûĸĸâĸûĸâĸû (blah?) 14:46, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Delving into NTSB accident report archives might be a good starting point. See if the Flight 706 accident report mentions anything about fuselage color having been a contributing factor under the visibility conditions extant at the time of the crash. The accident occurred over two decades before the creation of the World Wide Web, but I see that the article now references a PDF copy of the report. Easy!
Incidentally, the color has been described as "Sundance Yellow", not "banana yellow".—QuicksilverT @ 21:12, 19 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
There was no mention in the NTSB report about the fuselage color, which is why I asked here. (In the accident in question, the mid-air collision was attributed to a faulty radar system in the Marine F-4 that collided with the Hughes Airwest jet; actually, the radar intercept officer is on record saying he saw the airplane at the last minute, as did the pilot.) --Mûĸĸâĸûĸâĸû (blah?) 12:52, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
