Quit vs departed edit
I think "quit" is non-neutral language when discussing a sporting transition--it carries the implication that someone "quit" (gave up on, abandoned) their team. No doubt plenty of fans feel that way. I think we usually phrase it as "left to take" or "departed" when discussing coaches who take a new job before the bowl game. Mackensen (talk) 21:59, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
Compare Freeze's two one-year successors at Arkansas State: Gus Malzahn says "Did not coach bowl game", while Bryan Harsin says "Departed Arkansas State for Boise State before bowl game". Mackensen (talk) 00:46, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
