Eponym edit

Like most articles about mountains, this one is written from a mountain climber's point of view. I'd like to see some cultural issues discussed. What does the mountain's name mean? Does it have any geographical significance? Do its glaciers feed any rivers or reservoirs? —MiguelMunoz (talk) 09:38, 26 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

No factual basis or citation for height quibble edit

I removed the following statement.

The actual height of the mountain is subject of discussion. The official height is 6088m but almost all who summit report a height around 6110m.

There are several problems with it. First, no mention is given of who reported these different heights or how they measured it. Even measurements with GPS can be off by more than 20 meters. Second, there's no supporting citation for the claim. In other words, it's hearsay. Despite my concerns, I would have let it be, if there was a citation supporting the claim. -- KarlHallowell (talk) 21:15, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
